I’m keeping this post short and simple. Partly because I want to stay consistent with writing, but more so because I’ve been reflecting on a lesson that’s been unfolding through experience—one grounded in consistency, discipline, and daily compounding.
Over the past few months, I’ve been building a strong daily rhythm: running six days a week, training Muay Thai six days a week, daily yoga sun salutations, day trading five times a week, reading, eating clean—the full stack.
Naturally, with this much output, my body’s been tired. That kind of daily effort brings on real physical fatigue. I’ve found myself sleeping in more and occasionally missing my morning Muay Thai sessions, dropping to one session a day instead of two. That used to bother me—because I set a goal to hit 2 trainings a day consistently. If you’ve trained Muay Thai before, you know the toll even one session can take on your body.
But with that physical exhaustion comes something deeper—resurfaced stress, old sankaras, and subconscious reactions bubbling up. And that’s actually part of the purpose behind this compounding journey: to reveal and clear the internal blockages that keep me from becoming the fullest version of myself.
The point I’m making is this: we have to accept the journey. Some days, you’ll need to walk during the run. Some days, you’ll need to slow down, pause, and reorganize. That’s okay. Staying consistent doesn’t mean pushing at 110% every single day—that idea is more fantasy than sustainable reality.
What matters is staying in rhythm—even if today, all you have to give is 1%. That’s still compounding. And over time, that 1% builds. The results won’t come overnight, but when they do, you’ll be stronger, clearer, and more aligned than you were when you started.
Thank you for reading. You’re not alone in how you feel or what you’re working through. Most people hide their struggle and only show their highlight reel. Keep showing up. Keep pushing.
Sincerely,
The Urban Yogi
Brian
